Nate Simms was an English expat living in Australia. He was originally from Loughborough, but in 1992 he visited Australia and ended up moving to Sydney. He worked at a design company in Parramatta. In 1994, during a visit to north Queensland, Nate was kidnapped and experimented on by the Euterpian Godwanna. Simms' mind was destroyed, and later he was killed by Atimkos.
