Dan Dare

Dan Dare was a space traveller and enemy of the Mekon, who stood for what was right throughout the universe with his faithful companion Digby. Dan Dare's adventures opposite the Mekon were chronicled by the 1960s in the British children's comic Eagle. (PROSE: Time and Relative)

In 1977, Dame Emily Shaw compared the interior of the TARDIS to something out of Dan Dare. (AUDIO: The Cloisters of Terror) On his first adventure in the TARDIS, Oliver Harper similarly compared the experience to "something out of Dan Dare". (AUDIO: The Cold Equations)
