The Pestilent Heart was a comic story published in Doctor Who Magazine in 2016. It featured the return of Jess Collins, who last appeared in The Highgate Horror, and also introduced her family; her parents Devina and Llyod, and her younger brother Maxwell. Most notably, the story's ending marked the beginning of a short story arc in which the Doctor moves in with "the Collinses" as he waits for the TARDIS to repair itself following a system overload.

Notes
- In Part One, Clara Oswald, Gabriel Rosewood and the Corvids briefly appear in a flashback set during the comic story The Highgate Horror. Despite the Doctor encountering characters who are aware of Clara in stories set after Hell Bent, this is one of the only times in any media that someone else is shown explicitly remembering her.
