What's Past is Prologue was a free short story in the Lethbridge-Stewart series. It was later published as the fourth story in the anthology Lineage.
Plot
to be added
Characters
- Alistair Conall Hamish Lethbridge-Stewart
- Matthew Lethbridge-Stewart
- Gordon Conall Lethbridge-Stewart
- Mr Dawes
- Archibald Hamish Lethbridge-Stewart
Worldbuilding
to be added
Notes
- The story heavily implies that Archibald is in fact the biological father of Gordon (presumably due to an affair between Archibald and Gordon's mother Lillian McDougal). This was done to resolve a dispute between the BBC and the Haisman estate over Archibald's relationship to the Brigadier, given that Alistair had already been established as the Brig's grandfather.
- The title of the story is a quotation from William Shakespeare's play The Tempest.
Continuity
- Archibald lives in Cromer. (TV: Twice Upon a Time)
