The Last Duty was a short story released online in tribute to the death of the Candy Jar Books author Eileen Younghusband. It contained excerpts from Eileen's biographical books Eileen's War and One Woman's War.

- According to Andy Frankham-Allen, there had been plans to bring Eileen into the Lethbridge Stewart series before her death. After Eileen's death, the Lethbridge-Stewart crew decided to quickly release a story to honour her. Because of this, Eileen is only present for the framing device of the story.
