Worldbuilding
- Bernice overhears tow Ardjian scientists talking about the planet DeepworldhimbilongGod.
- Bernice planned to travel to Earth from the Calliastra Highport with a diversion at Semulga Crossways. However, her connecting transport was cancelled and she was forced to board The Prince of Mercury which would stop at Centauri where she could hyperlink herself to Earth.
- As well as Centauri some of The Prince of Mercury's destinations included Vishnu's Moon and the Barleysugar Cluster. Jorion was also supposed to be a destination but it was replaced by Proxima Xaynor as a result of the war.
- Benny Googles herself and was embarrassed by the fact that the only information offered was that she was a lecturer at Shawnee College, University of Jaiwan.
