Day of the Daleks: Special Edition was a new version of Day of the Daleks.

There were new CGI effects and newly shot footage, while Nicholas Briggs provided new Dalek voices to replace those of Oliver Gilbert and Peter Messaline in the original 1972 broadcast version.

It was released on Disc Two of the DVD release of Day of the Daleks in 2011. In 2023, it was re-released on Disc Two of the Blu-ray release of Doctor Who: The Collection — Jon Pertwee Complete Season Three.
