Sentreal was the nineteenth The Blogs of Doom short story, published in 2019 in Doctor Who Magazine 537. Like other features in the series, it narrated events in the life of a minor Doctor Who TV character before and after their involvement in the Doctor's life.
In this case, the subject of writer Jonathan Morris's attention was Sentreal from Mission to the Unknown.
Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]
Sentreal attends the Intergalactic Peace Conference of Andromeda at the United Galactic Headquarters on Kembel and meets Trantis in the drinks reception. Despite the conference room having no lecterns, the meeting begins and the delegates finalise their invasion plans. Chanting "Victory! Victory! Victory!" all together, Sentreal realises the Intergalactic Peace Conference of Andromeda would probably take place on Andromeda, and that he has gone to the wrong meeting.

- Malpha, Master of Malpha
- Black Dalek
Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Sentreal recognises Celation with his big hood, Gearon with his visor, and Beaus with his "provocatively transparent top."
- Trantis believes the Tenth Galaxy is the largest of the Outer Galaxies because his empire spans almost 20 solar systems.
- He believes a solar system is a star and its surrounding planets and other stars and their surrounding planets.
- Sentreal explains that a galaxy holds billions of solar systems, but Trantis calls this the universe.
- The Black Dalek doesn't allow photography in the conference room.
- Zephon, Master of Zephon, doesn't attned the meeting because he's suffering a violent uprising of the Embodyment Gress. Beaus had it once and was laid up for a fortnight.
- The delegates finally agree on the order of solar system planets they'll invade, starting with Earth, then the Moon colonies, then Jupiter. Gearon wants to invade Jupiter first.
- There are eight great powers of the Outer Galaxies, including Zephon, are members of the Galactic Council.
Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- This story occurs concurrently with Mission to the Unknown.
- The characters here debate over the terms of what is a "galaxy" or "solar system" or "universe," and whether or not they are "delegates" or "represenatives" or "planetarians," as well as discussing how people will know who they are. These are an in-joke to the original serial's use of terminology and later confusion over which delegates were which.
- There are "eight" great powers of the outer galaxies, including Zephon who isn't present, but Sentreal is at the wrong meeting and no mention is made of Warrien.
