The Examiner was a daily British newspaper. The logo of the paper was the silhouette of a unicorn. Also available was the Cardiff Examiner, which featured stories local to the Cardiff area.
John Smith was given a copy of The Examiner by Martha Jones to show him that the date was Monday November 10th 1913. This edition featured an article on health and nutrition. (TV: Human Nature)
In 1926, the Tenth Doctor took a copy of The Examiner from Hugh Curbishley in order to check the date. He discovered it was the same date on which Agatha Christie was to disappear. (TV: The Unicorn and the Wasp)
In 2007, the paper's reporter Atif told his editor that he had a story so big, he thought it would be the story of the century: the story of Torchwood.
