Axton was a Time Lord soldier present at the Fall of Gallifrey.
Biography
As the Daleks invaded his home planet of Gallifrey in the final days of the Time War, Axton was instructed by the War Doctor to present Leela with a Wayfinder, letting her escape from the Time War. However, while he was encouraging her to flee, Axton was shot and killed by a Dalek. Leela then claimed the Wayfinder, allowing her to escape and be reunited with the Fourth Doctor.
