The Monster Upstairs was a Doctor Who Adventures comic story featuring the Tenth Doctor and Violet Hopley.

Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

Earth, England, Christmas is ruined for the Hopley family when Violet Hopley is kidnapped by Extron, who is being hunted by the Doctor. With an innocent family dragged into a battle that he started, the Doctor is determined to rescue Violet and stop Extron's evil schemes.

Extron is growing stronger. The Doctor must fight across a doomed planet to return a little girl home before Christmas.

Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • The DWA comic strip adventures were aimed at a younger audience and the artwork and colours were bold and bright, reflecting the tone of the magazine.
  • Self contained, one part stories were the norm in the early issues, later being expanded to two-parters.
