  • Although the Daleks' leader is referred to in this story as "the Supreme Dalek", he is not the Black Dalek but rather the Golden Emperor, as shown in the illustrations. Although he was usually referred to as Dalek Emperor, the Golden Emperor was occasionally shown to hold the rank of "Supreme Dalek", as late as in The Dalek Tapes.
