Alter-time, also referred to as alternative time-dynamics was a broad term used for any temporal mechanism, environment, or structure of causality that went against the Protocols of the Great Houses or the history the Great Houses dictated. It was illegal and served as grounds for the exile of the House from the Homeworld (PROSE: The Book of the War)
