Michael James, known as Michael Jayston, (29 October 1935[1]-5 February 2024[2]) played the Valeyard in Doctor Who in 1986. He subsequently reprised the character in many Big Finish audios.

Career

He went on to play Donald De Souza in Emmerdale, contemporaneously with Jenna Coleman's performance as Jasmine Thomas.
