In real life, the full name of the woman who was the Shelley family's nursemaid was Elise Foggi. She was still alive at the time of 1820, by which she had been discharged by the Shelleys and become involved in a family scandal in Mary Shelley's family.

In June 1816, she was busy looking after William when Ashad in search of the Cyberium invaded Villa Diodati, where the Shelleys were staying.
