The Model Unit, sometimes credited as The Modelo Unit, provided miniature effects on Doctor Who. Supervisor Mike Tucker won a BAFTA for his work on the Doctor Who television story The Day of the Doctor.[1] The Model Unit was nominated for a Craft & Design Award for their special effects in The Day of the Doctor.
Beginning in December 2015, the Model Unit was engaged in refurbished props from classic Doctor Who for the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff prior to its 2017 closure.
