Get Thee Inside Me, Satan was a gory horror film which Walter Murch enjoyed. While they were dating, Walter took Dodie Golightly to a showing of the film at the Roxy. Dodie covered her eyes for most of the film; she found it "irreligious and rather rude". (PROSE: The Ninnies on Putney Common)

In her letter, Brenda recalled that Karla Sorenson starred in "that dreadful film", Get Thee Inside Me, Satan, when it was remade in Whitby. During the production, a Dreadful Flap was accidentally opened above the town. (PROSE: Brenda's B&B)
