Planet Void was a Doctor Who Adventures comic strip published in 2013.

Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Doctor and Clara decide to have a picnic on the lifeless planet that isn't deserted. A group of colonists are fighting to stay against an army of Drone Wreckers who want to demolish the planet.

Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]

A picnic on a brand new planet "where no-one has gone before" sounds ideal but when the Eleventh Doctor and Clara arrive they are greeted by a small colony with hostility as they are feared to be from the authorities. The colonists have claimed the planet, named it "Dunroamin", and have tried to get away from the madness of the universe. But the Doctor isn't the only new arrival. An army of Drone Wreckers land on the planet (classified as 'void') with the intention of clearing the planet of visitors and putting the planet's molten core into cold storage while the atmosphere is cleaned. The Doctor quotes space regulation 466/B Imperative Alpha, which forbids demolition of a planet with new life forms. Clara meanwhile has been convincing the natives to cover themselves in jelly and pretend to be the planets native life form. The Doctor convinces Axe-L, the leader of the Wreckers, that the new lifeforms are "Jellyons". The Drone Wreckers leave the planet and returns to update Authority Records leaving the colonists to celebrate and bathe!

Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • The name chosen for the planet, "Dunroamin", is a popular name given to some UK homes and seen as a bit of a joke because of its play on words.
