Follow the Phantoms was a short story published in The Dr Who Annual 1969. It featured the Second Doctor, Jamie McCrimmon and Victoria Waterfield.

- Victoria compare's Zitta's people to film stars.
- Victoria dubs the planet "Cloud Seven", her favourite number.
- The Doctor has a detector device which is meant to report on the type of planet they've landed on and what the natives are like.
- The Floater, an portable airborne craft propelled by jets, is an invention of the Doctor's which is stored in a small leather valise and could be inflated using a button.
- Jamie uses his camera.
