Username policy → Signature policy → User rename policy → Why create an account? → On using multiple accounts |
It is recommended that users do not edit under multiple usernames. However, in certain situations, it may be acceptable — such as if you have a bot. You must make it clear on your user pages, however, what your other account names are.
As a regular user, you should decide which account you're primarily using and stick to it. If you've lost your password, it's acceptable to create a new account. (Contact an admin if you have watertight proof of your online identity.)
Sock puppetry
However, if you have been blocked from editing for any reason, and you attempt to circumvent that block through the use of another account or IP address, you will immediately receive a lifetime block on any and all accounts you are using. We have zero tolerance for sock puppetry.
