Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • The story is taken entirely from Ashildr's journals.
  • Characters from the previous three stories in the book are referenced.
  • At the start of the story, Me states that "1600 has come and gone". She later mentions that the Queen is ailing. Using real world information, this would set the story between 1600 and 1603, at the end of the life of Queen Elizabeth I.
