The Tsuranga was a QuadZone Rescue Craft, a 67th century hospital ship which was attacked by a Pting while the Thirteenth Doctor, Yaz, Graham, and Ryan were aboard.
The ship carried two lifepods, and its condition was monitored from the Tsuranga Hub at Resus One. If there was any hostile lifeform the ship's computers would relay it and if it was truly dangerous to the main hospital complex then the ship would be destroyed.
The crew during this time included just Astos and Mabli, while the rest of ship's function was entirely automated, and powered by an anti-matter drive. Patients aboard the ship included Yoss Inkl and Eve Cicero, who was with her brother Durkas Cicero and consort Ronan. (TV: The Tsuranga Conundrum)
Design[[edit] | [edit source]]
The ship was designed more-or-less like a square, split symmetrically down the middle, with two medical pods and an escape pod to each side. Each segment of the ship was connected by long hallways, and could be controlled from a main room in the centre of the ship, however most of its systems were fully automated or remotely controlled. The medical pods were designated numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4, and each could serve a variety of purposes. An engine room with an anti-matter drive was located towards the rear of the ship.
The exterior of the ship was brightly lit and rounded. The landing gear appeared to always be in a stationary "down" position. Shields protected the ship from impacts with space-debris, but the hull could be still be penetrated.
