Dorothy's (AUDIO: The Settling) house (PROSE: Normality, Dead Romance, Mad Dogs and Englishmen) was, by most accounts, a fictional house in The Wizard of Oz, (PROSE: Normality, Dead Romance, Mad Dogs and Englishmen) although one account claimed that it was a real location which was once located in a town in (WC: Supergirl Meets E.T.) the Land of Oz. (PROSE: Halflife, Normality, Dead Romance) The house had a brown roof. (WC: Supergirl Meets E.T.)
History[[edit] | [edit source]]
When E.T. visited (WC: Supergirl Meets E.T.) the Land of Oz, (PROSE: Halflife, Normality, Dead Romance) the house was located within a town. (WC: Supergirl Meets E.T.)
Other references[[edit] | [edit source]]
In The Wizard of Oz, (PROSE: Normality, Dead Romance, Mad Dogs and Englishmen) Dorothy's (AUDIO: The Settling) house (PROSE: Normality, Dead Romance, Mad Dogs and Englishmen) was a house which was taken from Kansas to the Land of Oz by tornado, (PROSE: Normality, Dead Romance) where it landed on a witch, prompting celebration. (PROSE: Mad Dogs and Englishmen)
This event was recalled by the Eleventh Doctor upon encountering the eye of the storm, (GAME: The Eternity Clock) as well as Clara Oswald, who couldn't understand where the phrase "safe as houses" came from when houses could, among other things, be taken to Oz by tornadoes. (PROSE: Normality)
Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
Dorothy Gale's house was, as indicated in the DWU, taken from Kansas to the Land of Oz in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by Frank L. Baum, and its later film adaptation, simply named The Wizard of Oz (and several other adaptations of the original novel). It also appeared in the crossover video game LEGO Dimensions, where it appeared in both Kansas and Munchkin Town in The Wizard of Oz adventure world. As a result of this, it made a minor cameo appearance in the background of a section of WC: Supergirl Meets E.T. which contained gameplay footage of LEGO Dimensions.
