Sid Sutton (died 27 June 2023[1][2]) was a graphic designer who created the Doctor Who logos and title sequences used from Season 18 to Season 23. He was responsible for the so-called "neon sign" logo associated with the John Nathan-Turner era. Along with his friend, rostrum cameraman Terry Handley, he created the title sequences used in those years.
He was actually credited under "Title Sequence" and "Graphic Designer", though the latter only was used on his first outing, The Leisure Hive.
Immediately prior to his work on Doctor Who, he had been nominated for a BAFTA for his graphics on the Robert Banks Stewart-created Shoestring that was a precursor to Bergerac, another show for which he provided the titles. He also created the title sequences for Target and Keeping Up Appearances, amongst others.
