Summery[[edit] | [edit source]]

Skaro United are playing their first football game of the season, and Mondas City are running rings around them. When the ball gets stuck in the plunger of one of the Skaro players, the Time Lord referee awards Mondas a free kick. Luckily, Skaro's special weapons goalie exterminates the Mondas player.

Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • This football-focused strip ties in with DWM 545's main feature: a countdown of the thirty-two best Dalek stories, presented as "The World Cup of the Daleks".
  • Previously, the 8-14 July 2006 edition of Radio Times tied-in both to the broadcast of Doomsday, which featured a conflict between the Daleks and the Cybermen, and the 2006 World Cup final with two "Battle for the World" covers, featuring the Daleks and Cybermen respectively carrying a football.
