The ringleader, Darius' estranged father, Sgt. Harry Pike, with his second-in-command, an ex-forensic scientist, kidnapped the CCPCs and experimented on them. They barged into [[Gryffen Manor]], formerly a [[police station]] where Pike had been based and Darius had spent most of his childhood, and restrained K9, Gryffen and the youngsters. They infected the CCPC Chief, nicknamed "[[Green Hand]]" with a biological computer virus to target his organic and cybernetic components. He passed it on to his troops and they became the puppets of The Last Precinct. They made the CCPC do their bidding, proving them useless. This convinced the Department to replace them with the human police officers of the past. However, the CCPCs' immune systems kicked in and they became individuals with thoughts and feelings of their own. K9 used a piece of alien derived from the [[Space-Time Manipulator]] to create a vaccine and immunise the CCPC from the computer virus, returning them to normal.
