Jabot

A jabot was a decorative clothing accessory consisting of lace or other fabric falling from the throat, suspended from or attached to a neckband or collar, or simply pinned at the throat since the Georgian era, and also worn on the Victorian and Edwardian era.[source needed]

The Third Doctor wore a white jabot during the Second Nestene invasion of Earth, (TV: Terror of the Autons)

The Seventh Doctor tried a copy of the Third Doctor's white jabot before sticking to a scarlet paisley tie after the recent regeneration. (TV: Time and the Rani)
