According to Gwen Cooper, a Roman fort was built in Gelligaer, Wales in around 75 AD. When a Roman soldier mentioned Gelligaer while shouting in Latin, Jack Harkness suggested that the soldier had been on his way there and, when time splintered, he ended up in the 21st century.
