A Roman soldier was stationed at a fort in Gelligaer in Roman Britain in the 1st century. When the Cardiff Space-Time Rift was widened by the Rift Manipulator, it transported the soldier to Cardiff in the 2000s. He subsequently fought in Penarth, fatally stabbing two men.
The Cardiff police force arrested him and PC Andy Davidson called in Torchwood to deal with him. Jack stunned him and locked him up in the Torchwood vaults. He was later transported through the Rift again when the Torchwood team opened the Rift once again to try and undo the damage. (TV: End of Days)
