Apple Inc. was a technology company. They developed a range of computers and laptops. Their logo resembled a white silhouette of an apple with a bite taken out of it, which was seen on their products. (WC: Web of Lies [+]Loading...["Web of Lies (webcast)"])

Apple manufactured the Apple II, Apple II Plus, (PROSE: Blue Box [+]Loading...["Blue Box (novel)"]) and Macintosh computers. UNIT had diverted funds to acquire several Macintosh computers soon after their release in the late 20th century. (PROSE: Heart of TARDIS [+]Loading...["Heart of TARDIS (novel)"])

Apple Inc. also created the iPod, iPhone, and iPad, although the connection between Apple and these products has not been made in DWU sources. Steve Jobs was a co-founder of the company.

The Cybus EarPods that first appeared in the 2006 Doctor Who television episode Rise of the Cybermen [+]Loading...["Rise of the Cybermen (TV story)"] were named such as a reference to Apple's iPod. Ironically, in 2012, Apple would release a new redesign of their earphones, named Apple EarPods.

Apple developed the iTunes media playing service, which has notable links with Doctor Who universe media.
