Wayne Yip, also credited as Wayne Che Yip, directed the Class television stories Detained and The Metaphysical Engine, or What Quill Did. He also directed the Doctor Who television stories The Lie of the Land, Empress of Mars and Resolution.
In all five stories, he worked with editor Edel McDonnell.
Before becoming a director, Yip studied Graphic Design at Oxford & Cherwell College. Following his work on Class, Yip has directed episodes of the sci-fi show Happy! (which Blair Mowat composed music for) and Hunters (where he would once again direct Greg Austin in a lead role).
