History

In 1066, William of Normandy invaded Southern England, forcing King Harold Godwinson to return to face him after he had defeated King Harold Hardrada's invasion of Northern England. Harold faced William in the Battle of Hastings, in which he was defeated, leading to the Norman Conquest. (PROSE: A History of Humankind [+]Loading...["A History of Humankind (novel)"])

In a parallel world, the whole of Southern England was flooded with radiation after the spaceship Titanic crashed in central London on 25 December 2008. (TV: Turn Left) In the Doctor's world, the crash was averted by the Tenth Doctor. (TV: Voyage of the Damned)
