"Kenny McCormick" is a title based upon conjecture.

Check the behind the scenes section, the revision history and discussion page for additional comments on this article's title.

Kenny McCormick

Bernice Summerfield once wore a t-shirt covered with cartoon characters with the caption "Oh my God... He killed Kenny!". She had found the shirt in a cupboard on Dellah, and had not seen it before. (PROSE: Another Girl, Another Planet [+]Loading...["Another Girl, Another Planet (novel)"])

Behind the scenes

The phrase "Oh my God... He killed Kenny!" is evidently in reference to the recurring line "Oh my god, they killed Kenny!" in South Park, itself a reference to the recurring gag of character Kenny McCormick's various deaths.

The phrase was later referenced in the 2004 novel The Tomorrow Windows [+]Loading...["The Tomorrow Windows (novel)"], however, the "Kenny" being referred to was Ken Livingstone.

An overview of the 2012/13 Series of Doctor Who published in TCH 70 referred to both Clara Oswald and Rory Williams as "Doctor Who's equivalent of Kenny from South Park". This was due to both characters being seen to have died on-screen before later returning. In the case of Clara Oswald, this was not the character herself but rather her echoes.[1]
