Sergeant Ambika Desai worked for the West Yorkshire Police in Halifax, Yorkshire during the 21st century. She was a companion of the Ninth Doctor. (AUDIO: The Running Men [+]Loading...["The Running Men (audio story)"])

Biography

Ambika stated that Halifax had "always been home to her." Prior to meeting the Doctor, she had a supervisor who reminded her of the Doctor when he lied to Frank Kelsey to make him more courageous.
