The Seaspite Incident was the name given by The Secret Lives of Monsters to the event in which the Sea Devils, supported by the Master, attempted to reclaim the Earth in a "war against mankind". (TV: The Sea Devils, PROSE: The Secret Lives of Monsters) The Master recorded it in their Masterplan Journal as the Underwater Undertaking. (PROSE: The Secret Diary of the Master) It took place in either 1972 or 1982, according to the Twelfth Doctor, who claimed that it was the first time that the Sea Devils had re-surfaced. (COMIC: Clara Oswald and the School of Death)

The Third Doctor attempted to broker a peace during this incident during his exile on Earth. (TV: The Sea Devils)

Despite the Third Doctor's efforts to convince them otherwise, hostilities escalated when Private Secretary Walker ordered the Royal Navy to attack the base, and the Sea Devils decided to go to war with the humans. However, before they could use the Master's sonar device to reactivate more bases, the Doctor blew up their base by overloading the devices by reversing the polarity of the neutron flow, preventing the war between humans and Sea Devils from starting. (TV: The Sea Devils)

The Fourth Doctor later found himself at this event again while travelling alone. (COMIC: Under Pressure)

Aftermath and legacy[[edit] | [edit source]]
