Among the Known Worlds discovered and explored by Marcus Americanius Scriptor, Germanias were the Earths on which Nazi Germany won World War II. They were separated from the Romas by the Divide; Scriptor suspected that more clusters existed beyond further Divides.
None of the Germanias were entirely ruled by the Nazis. On over half of them, America stayed out of the conflict. On a tenth of them, the Germans signed non-aggression pacts with the Russians. On a further third, the United Kingdom either surrendered to or allied with Germany. In universe beta alpha one five, Ernst Rohm killed Adolf Hitler circa 1933 and declared himself Führer.
In some worlds, Nazi power was so consolidated and entrenched that the Empire of Empires chose not to interfere. In one, America was divided between the Nazis and the Japanese, and the Germans had developed remarkable technological advancements such as moonbases, rocket-planes, and the draining of the Mediterranean Sea. In another, America and the Nazis had been locked in a stalemate for several years, and President "JPK" was reaching out to Hitler for negotiations. (PROSE: Warlords of Utopia)

The Seventh Doctor was aware that, had the Nazi regime not fallen as it did in his universe, it would have spread over all the world and potentially throughout the cosmos, "a monstrous perversion of true history". (PROSE: Timewyrm: Exodus [+]Loading...["Timewyrm: Exodus (novel)"])
Captain Jack Harkness was aware of a "whole new history" that would have sprawled out had the Trickster's Brigade succeeded in changing the future by infecting Franklin Delano Roosevelt with a brainspawn in 1927, which would have eventually led to America destabilising and pulling out of the war in his second term as President of the United States, resulting in the rise of Germany as a triumphant Third Reich. Explaining to Angelo Colasanto that the Trickster's Brigade wished to turn order into chaos and feed off the results, Jack prevented this history from coming into being by intercepting and destroying the brainspawn. Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The unnamed Germania where America was divided between Germany and Japan is a reference to Philip K. Dick's novel The Man in the High Castle. Likewise, the Germania with President Joseph P. Kennedy features in Robert Harris' Fatherland.
