By 2099, the governments of Earth, in answer to global warming, had taken vast sections of the Arctic and Antarctic and placed them inside huge domes called Snowglobes. Martha Jones found photographs of destruction wrought by tornadoes in cities like Paris, Rome and London. Of the twelve domes, only three remained scientific establishments: Snowglobe 3 in the Australian outback, Snowglobe 9 in Japan and Snowglobe 7 in Dubai. (PROSE: Snowglobe 7)
