Stargazing

Stargazing was the hobby of looking at stars, sometimes with a telescope.

Harvey was a keen stargazer, and in the early hours of 12 July, 1979, stayed up to watch Skylab re-enter Earth's atmosphere through his telescope. (PROSE: Bennelong Point)

The attic of 13 Bannerman Road contained a telescope and a chair for stargazing. (TV: The Last Sontaran)

Wilfred Mott was an amateur astronomer and keen stargazer, and pitched a tent behind his daughter's house in Chiswick where he spent most of his nights with a telescope, looking for aliens among the stars. (TV: Partners in Crime) At some point, Wilfred discovered a new star, which was named after him. (PROSE: Beautiful Chaos)

In 2050, K9, Starkey and Jorjie Turner spotted a shooting star while stargazing. (TV: Curse of Anubis)

In 2070, the Tenth Doctor stargazed with Danielle on Centauri-Beta. Due to the composition of the planet's atmosphere, constellations of stars were visible during the day. (PROSE: Total Eclipse of the Heart)

In 2211, while stargazing from the planet Menda, the Eighth Doctor pointed out the Pleiades and Crab Nebula to Julya. (PROSE: The Janus Conjunction)

Nyssa and Tegan Jovanka stargazed whilst on Callanna, something that Tegan thought was very uncharacteristic of herself. (AUDIO: Madquake)

While stargazing with Elidh, Cole Jarnish saw several objects fall from the sky and landed around his planet. This made Cole realise that the threat the Time War posed to the planet's people had arrived. (AUDIO: The Sky Man)
