Romana regenerated into a new incarnation on a planet orbiting the last sun before the heat death of the universe. She had dark eyes and clear ebony skin. When Ponch saw her after her regeneration, Romana revealed her true identity, and saw that he was no longer the misguided Huvan that she had met in her first incarnation, and took him on as her companion.
