Emily Cook was editorial assistant of Doctor Who Magazine from issue 491 in 2015 to issue 576 in 2022, after having started as a work experience production assistant in 2014.

During her time on the magazine, she became one of the main interviewers, chatting to many of the show's stars, and made the interview feature Out of the TARDIS a particular success. After leaving the magazine, she continued to contribute in a freelance position from issue 577 onwards.

In 2020, Cook organised the Doctor Who: Lockdown! event during the outbreak of COVID-19, which kept many people around the world in their homes. As part of this event, she also produced several original stories and continued to do so for Big Finish Productions.
