Why don't you guys have a fancy [[MediaWiki:Monaco.css|custom skin]] like most other big wikis do? ::If you want to use a dark skin, all inline CSS (style="something") must be placed in [[MediaWiki:Common.css]] first. Then the default "bright" styles can be overriden by the dark skin, but they won't have to look dark if people want to keep a bright skin.
