- Ood-Sphere and Sense Sphere are both planets of the Horsehead Nebula.
- For series Three alone, some 44 prothetic and animatronic monster creations were made.
- Actor Michael Kilgarriff played the Cyber Controller in both Tomb of the Cybermen and again 18 years later in Attack of the Cybermen.
- The Rutans, enemies of the Sontarans originated on Ruta III.
