Summary
In the Department of Administrative Records on Gallifrey, Time Lady Tianna noticed that someone had recently been through the records, something that only an operator with High Council clearance would be able to achieve. Concerned at this breach of security, Tianna decided to turn to the Doctor for help. The Doctor arrived in the TARDIS with the Lady President Romana and K-9. Informed of events, Romana was annoyed to realise that Coordinator Vansell was already aware of the security breach.
The Doctor, Tianna and K9 investigated the source of the terminal used during the infiltration and track its location to the old Capitol that lies beneath the current one, the Doctor discovered a group of fanatics who had used a Time scoop to capture ancient monsters from around the universe. Their leader, Handrel, planned to combine the DNA of the creatures with Time Lord DNA in the hope achieve immortality through unlimited regenerations. Tianna and K9 contact Romana and request help, when Romana and her troops arrived a battle broke out in which Handrel and his followers were killed. The Doctor then used the Time scoop to return the hijacked creatures back to their proper time and place.
