Simon Taylor was the visual effects designer on Paradise Towers.

He had earlier been a co-designer, with John Brace, of the effects on the unaired pilot of Richard Curtis and Rowan Atkinson's The Black Adder, but was effectively replaced by Chris Lawson when the project went to series.
