The Dark Rider was a painting of a highwayman in the International Gallery. It was animated by Mona Lisa and helped her capture Clyde Langer. While guarding him, Clyde realised the painting could not talk as it has no visible mouth, a remark at which it was ready to shoot him. Luckily the others arrived before it had the chance.
It was returned to its frame when The Abomination was destroyed, therefore breaking the mental link that animated it. (SJA: Mona Lisa's Revenge)
