- The Doctor brings Sarah Jane back to Earth with a bang when the TARDIS lands in the middle of a quarry – and a controlled explosion! Things go from bad to worse when the Time Lord discovers that the blast has unearthed the severed hand of Eldred, a criminal from the planet Kastria who was supposedly executed long ago. Is the stone hand really alive and hatching an evil plan? Can the Doctor prevent the nearby nuclear power station from becoming Eldred’d first meal in centuries? And is this the end of the line for Sarah Jane Smith?

- Actor Denis Carey’s Doctor Who roles have included; The Keeper of Traken, Professor Chronotis (Shada) and as the Old Man in Timelash.
- The Sontaran, Lynx’s first name (Jingo) was revealed in the target novelisation of The Time Warrior.
- The Tenth Doctor bid farewell to Jack Harkness in an alien space bar on the planet Zog.
- The home planet of the Graske is called Griffoth.
- The Third Doctor phrase “reverse the polarity of the neutron flow” was only ever used once during his era – in The Sea Devils.
- The Fendahl came from the original fifth planet of the Solar System, a world located between Mars and Jupiter. The Time Lords removed ‘Sol 5’ from time in an effort to destroy the Fendahl.
