Doctor Who Magazine's 2002 issues spanned from issue 312 to issue 324 and were published every four weeks by Panini Comics.
Alan Barnes edited the magazine from issue 312 through to issue 313. The following issue (314) and onwards the magazine was edited by Clayton Hickman.
Like last year free CD was included on the front of issue 313. This CD (as with the previous year) included two audio stories produced by audio drama production company Big Finish Productions. The CD included Part One of Invaders from Mars a story starring Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor, the CD also included a specially recorded story for the magazine The Ratings War which starred Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and also featured a character that had been created in the comic strips of the magazine; Beep the Meep.
