It is difficult to tell when this meeting takes place but arguably this is before the Pandorica adventure as River Song mentions she and the Doctor are travelling in "opposite directions". Template:Infobox Organization Stormcage Containment Facility was a prison in the 51st and 52nd century. River Song was a prisoner there. (DW: Flesh and Stone)

In the 52nd century, River escaped Stormcage to warn the Doctor about the Pandorica opening. (DW: The Pandorica Opens) For reasons that are, as of yet, unknown, River returned to Stormcage in the 51st century, and was later released under the custody of Father Octavian, who needed her assistance in a mission involving Weeping Angels. When their mission was over, River was presumably returned to Stormcage, though she did hope she had earned a pardon through her actions. (DW: The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone)

She again escaped the Stormcage having been sent a letter by a future version of the Doctor, recruiting her to meet with him in America 2011. It is difficult to tell when this meeting takes place but arguably this is before the Pandorica adventure as River Song mentions she and the Doctor are travelling in "opposite directions". The vortex manipulator seen on her wrist could indeed be another device entirely or it could be that she acquired another vortex manipulator after escaping the Stormcage (DW: The Impossible Astronaut)

Behind the scenes
