Lake Silencio was located in Utah. On the22nd April, 2011, the Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond, River Song and Rory Williams picnicked there. During the picnic a figure in a vintage space suit from the Apollo program emerged from the lake and shot the Doctor, killing him. His body was placed in a burning boat and pushed into the water.
