Julie Gardner was an executive producer on Doctor Who from its 2005 return through Series 4.
She has also been a producer on its spin-offs, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures. She was the head of Drama at BBC Wales until March 2009 when it was announced that Gardner was to join the staff of Los Angeles-based BBC Worldwide America as executive producer in charge of scripted projects.
